Welcome to my personal blog! This blog will replace the personal site that I’ve built with Next.js and deployed on AWS, because I realized that Jekyll + GitHub pages is more suitable for the task at hand: build and deploy a simple, static website, and occasionally push some updates.

While Next.js offered powerful capabilities right out of the box, the amount of complexity it introduced outweighed its benefits for a mostly static personal blog/CV/portfolio site. Most of its feature went unused, but I still had to incur the added performance overhead and deployment complexity. Yeah, deployment on AWS Amplify wasn’t that hard, but Next.js wasn’t the best tool for the job, so I switched to Jekyll.

I will use this blog to organize and share my ideas, from everyday thoughts to lessons learned. I hope you find inspiration and enjoyment in exploring these stories and ideas.
